For blood tests: no. Walk-in service, Monday to Friday from 7:00 to 10:30, and Saturday from 8:00 to 12:00. For specialist consultations (clinical biology, STI screening, addiction medicine): yes, online via Progenda or by phone at +32 470 97 60 87.

Q: How much does it cost?

€18 per consultation, government-registered doctors at INAMI rates. Reimbursed by your Belgian sickness fund (out-of-pocket usually €1 to €6, and €0 for BIM beneficiaries). For STI screening, tests range from €0 to €25 depending on the relevant analyses.

Q: Do you speak my language?

At the centre, our doctors speak French, English, Spanish (Dr Beckers) and French, English, Arabic (Dr Sqalli). If you prefer another language, write to us at mediwandre@gmail.com — we always find a solution.

Our history

Three generations of doctors in Wandre.

From Dr René Rixhon's practice on Place d'Elmer to today's surgery on rue du Pont de Wandre — one same conviction: medicine is practised over time, in trust, in respect for every patient.

Generation 1

Dr René Rixhon

1931 – 2004

General practitioner in Wandre from 1956. Historic surgery on Place d'Elmer. Known for working 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, from 1 August to 30 June.

Generation 2

Dr Martine Rixhon

1957 – 2016

Qualified in 1983, she took over the family practice. In 2009, she moved the surgery to 105 rue du Pont de Wandre. A medicine that welcomes everyone with their convictions.

Dr Pablo Beckers

Born in Liège

Son of Dr Martine Rixhon. Specialist in clinical biology – microbiology, head of the serology lab at the CHU de Liège. Carries on the family tradition with expertise that is rare in Belgium.
